Meet Riyaz Rangrage, Director of Zanor Digital, a Full-Service Web Design & Digital Marketing Agency based in Shah Alam. Hailing from South Africa, Riyaz has worked for large corporates in South Africa and in the United Kingdom.
He now resides in Malaysia and serves clients across the globe.
How did you get involve in the industry and in Malaysia
Since 2005 I’ve had the honour of working with many wonderful companies in various industries worldwide, including Malaysia.
Working for some large companies and some, not so large, I’ve had the privilege of building hundreds of websites and working on many digital marketing campaigns.
From Service-based Businesses, Network Marketers, e-Commerce and Dropshippers; I’ve had my fair share of ups & downs – wins & losses – disappointments and celebrations, and I’m grateful for them all.
It has helped me become the professional I am today and given me the tools and confidence to help other business owners.
What made you decide to go do this business
I love helping others, I am a people person, and enjoy seeing other people succeed.
This is one of the reasons I decided to take this step and venture into establishing my own digital marketing agency, I have a lot of experience and I have a lot to offer – especially to my clients!
Their pain is my pain and their wins are my wins – I take it personally, and I am only satisfied when I manage to accomplish the results they desire.
What differentiates you from your competition
Over the years of working with various digital marketing campaigns and very experienced digital marketing professionals, we have developed our own in-house products which help businesses to thrive in this ever-changing digital age.
These are not off-the-shelf solutions that you can find freely online, these products consist of carefully designed digital strategies which have been crafted by extremely experienced digital marketing experts, and have been refined and perfected over time.

Our primary focus is to utilise modern technology to deliver the best results for our clients, and we will not compromise on providing high-quality services.
What value you and your business provide
Many of my clients are business owners who have suffered from unprofessional digital marketers who thought they could get results but failed because they simply didn’t have a proven strategy.
The major problem they experience is too many experts giving conflicting advice, leaving them totally confused.
As a result, they make the critical mistake of trying to combine different strategies, and then… nothing works. Wasted time, effort and money!
What is your insight for the industry or marketplace
I believe that it is now critical for every business, small or big, to have a strong online presence.
This fast-paced digital age has caused our world to evolve and has dramatically changed consumer behavior forever. Sticking to traditional methods will be detrimental and lead a business to failure.
What are the challenges and where are the opportunities for Malaysian businesses in relation to your industry
Bill Gates has stated; “Businesses will either be on the internet or they will be out of business”.
The problem most businesses face is that they don’t know where to start, or what to actually focus on.
It’s simply too overwhelming with all the different social media platforms, and jumping from platform to platform has proven to drive very little results for most businesses.
The key in establishing authority in your niche is to identify exactly where your ideal target audience is hanging out online and focus most of your efforts on that platform.
This can be achieved by creating a customised digital roadmap for the business with actionable milestones over a 12-month period, and this is exactly what we provide to our clients.
