I am Joyce from Trend Avenue Enterprise. I specialise in corporate gifts, T-shirts and uniforms. I am the founder of Trend Avenue Enterprise. I have started the company since year 2007.

How did you get involved in the industry in Malaysia?
I was working in product marketing for 5 years. After that I moved to the sales position of selling factory uniforms and corporate gits I started to have many different industries’ clients. I found that they have different requirements for their corporate gifts and uniforms.
What made you decide to go into this business?
Our role is to support the company by helping them to produce corporate gifts. This will help the company to increase their brand awareness. Also, by giving the employees gifts, the company manage to express their appreciation to the workers. Workers will be happy and work happily in the company.
We listen carefully to the client’s needs and fulfil it. It is a good feeling when I see the employees’ benefits and like it. Therefore, I go into and explore the industry.
What differentiates you from your competition?
There is an SOP that we will go through with the client.
- Communicate with clients on items that they need.
- Understand their event theme, concept of the event or what items they are interested in.
- After we have a clear on the event, then we will propose on the items that is suitable for that event.
With this process, clients will have a clear picture on what they need. Hence, they managed to get the gifts that they wanted.
What value do you and your business provide?
Once we have fully understood our client’s need, we are able to provide additional information on the proposed items.
Also, if a client needs the items in a short time, we are able to propose the items that is ready made. We are very resourceful on the gift’s products. We are able to source oversea and also locally.
We attended gift exhibitions in Malaysia, Hong Kong and China. This is to bring in the trendy corporate gifts for your clients.
What is your insight for the industry or marketplace?
Corporate gifting is definitely a good method to increase the company’s brand awareness with their clients. Therefore, it will increase the sales of the products indirectly.
We foresee that in 2024, many companies will still continue to explore and produce corporate gifts, T-shirts and Uniforms as one of the promotional items.
What are the challenges and where are the opportunities for Malaysian businesses within your industry?
Shoppe, Lazada and China Shopee. These are the shopping websites that my client will buy from. However, they do not have a personal assistant to explain on the items that they need. Clients always like us to show them the products and also to make sure the delivery lead time.
What kind of clients or contacts would you like to be connected to or in touch with?
We would like to connect to manufacturing factory that make Uniforms and T-shirts. Corporate companies that have employees events. IT company and pharmaceutical that would like to do the promo gifts.
